Paying homage to Australia National Day with month-long promotion and celebrating Chinese New Year with grandstand views of fireworks.

(Hong Kong, January 6, 2020) - Wooloomooloo Group’s three Australian steakhouses and ‘back to basics’ grill The Chop House are celebrating January 26th Australia Day in true ‘Down Under’ style throughout January with a ‘shrimp on the barbie’.

Aussie barbecue favourite is on special offer at Wooloomooloo Prime atop The ONE in Tsim Sha Tsui, Wooloomooloo Steakhouses in TST East and Wan Chai and The Chop House at Mira Place One.

Priced at HK$185, the month-long ‘Shrimp on the Barbie’ special appetiser features tiger prawns, cucumber relish and sambal sauce sizzled to perfection in spicy Asian spices from January 1st to 31st.

Premium concept of the group, Wooloomooloo Prime is also hosting a gastronomic Chinese New Year Fireworks Set Dinner on January 26th, priced at HK$988 per guest.

With a grandstand view of the annual pyrotechnics, the festive celebration starts with appetiser of Hokkaido Scallop Carpaccio, topped with Avryga caviar, pink radish and fennel and drizzled with lime dressing.

Duck Liver Parfait follows, in truffle butter with apple chutney, sour cherry purée, sweet wine jelly and toasted brioche. Soup course is Roasted Tomato & Capsicum Velouté, dressed with chives and Spanish smoked olive oil.

Main course is a ‘surf or turf’ choice of Wooloomooloo’s signature Grilled Australian 200-day Grain-fed Sirloin, served with gratin potato, broccolini, semi-dried tomato marmalade and sweetbread in morel cream sauce; or seafood option of Olive Oil Poached John Dory Fillets, with scallop, mussels, warm artichoke salad and gremolata in seaweed sauce.

Dessert is Australian-style Hazelnut Pavlova, in gourmet style with chestnut Bavarois, pistachio tuile, raspberry purée and mixed berries.

All prices are subject to 10% service charge
