Celebratory Dining

This is the best time of the year to enjoy a decadent feast with family and friends. An extensive selection of Chinese New Year menus and dining experiences are on offer, especially at Michelin-starred Man Wah.

Serving the finest Cantonese cuisine, Executive Chinese Chef Wing-Keung Wong has prepared an array of celebratory dim sum and Chinese New Year specialties for this festive season.

Menu highlights include Crispy Sea Cucumber with Abalone Sauce, Braised Spotted Grouper Fillet with Sun-dried Shrimp, Salted Egg, Minced Pork and Ginkgo Nuts, and Stir-fried Prawn with Supreme Broth – all symbolising an abundant year ahead with prosperity and good fortune.

The star of the show this year is the limited-edition Aged Tangerine Peel Turnip Cake created by Chef Wong and his master Theresa Yiu, better known as Dashijie. With a mission to deepen the appreciation of Cantonese gastronomy, the two Chinese culinary masters incorporated 15-year-old dried tangerine peels from Xinhui District of Jiangmen, China, into the recipe to add a tangy twist to an age-old tradition. Pan-fried until golden, each bite bursts with a subtly sweet flavour and is packed full of refined aroma. Alternatively, the best steak and seafood in town can be found at Michelin-starred Mandarin Grill + Bar.

For group get-togethers, head to Café Causette and Clipper Lounge where thoughtfully prepared menus are available for everyone. For those who prefer to celebrate at home, a range of festive delicacies and exclusive hampers are also on offer at The Mandarin Cake Shop, featuring Chocolate Lucky Coin Box and Tangerine and Pistachio Cake.

Guests can quench their thirst at The Aubrey, an eccentric Japanese izakaya bar where the beverage programme uncovers the story of shōchū through a wide range of creative cocktails whilst enjoying the best views of the city. An à la carte menu is also offered that will satisfy any appetite.
