Christie’s welcomes the Lunar New Year with strong results achieved for the first auction in Asia this year - Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online. The sale totalled HK$4,756,875 with a sell-through rate of 88% by lot, having attracted heated global participation with over 11,000 unique online visitors.
The three works by Ding Yanyong from the Family Collection of Ma Shun Ying realised HK$575,000, 8.7 times above their combined pre-sale low estimate. The robust results are a testament to Christie's success in sourcing fresh works with exceptional provenance and in digitally engaging collectors across the world.
